I have to wonder whether "digital sovereignty" will really hold up in a world where AI can increasingly access data we previously might have thought of as "safe"
-even where the AI companies' "masters" have committed to "responsible" AI, what guarantees that the "masters" won't become the servants?

2/2 .. If that's the case, and with the amount of self-inflicted harm, why doesn't he threaten to sue himself for 10 billion dollars?

Oh, I see completely where you're coming from, and agree there will always be sheep following some shepherds through the gates of the abbatoir.
My main angle was just a preference to display a challenge to the mis /dis -information, rather than to display appeasement.

It is in this area where Farage and Reform need to be exposed more.
IMHO the British "guys on the street" don't enjoy feelings that they are being manipulated by con-artists and traitors.

2/2 .. But, hey, isn't that just "social responsibility"...?

1/2 So, a 20 year-old, on minimum wage, and on a 46-hour week, is grossing double the max State Pension...?

Maybe the fairest to both is to give a tax +NI personal allowance of £15k, and up the State Pension.

Of course, v. high earners /wealthy would have to fill the gap.

The only *real* left-of-centre UK Parliamentary presence remaining...
Now with the strongest leadership for the 21st century.
With the fullest respect for Caroline, of course.

I used to be Labour, but...

Can I just check the definition of "mistakenly" here?
Does it imply some error of interpretation...
or a blatant, uncaring, elite disregard?

If you already work in a care home, you probably have long, dirty hours, working with many who are disabled,...for not much pay.
Kinda "volunteering" (..?)

Wow, such an innovative new idea.
Must have taken a heck of an imagination for you think up that one, Rache,

For my own convenience, happy to have specifically /democratically agreed personal data held against my digital ID.
If digital IDs can help prevent illegal employment, that's also beneficial.

But has someone really tried associating digital ID's with boat crossings?

Nonsensical farce.

Unfortunately, the disillusioned, the disenfranchised, the poorly-educated, and the easily-led are, sadly for them, an equal, albeit unwitting, threat.

Evokes an old Blair-ism (sorry!)

Education, Education, Education...
But throw in one extra idealistic objective...

Similar age, and IMHO, with AI, the employment prospects+ social impacts, even for our kids, will change their lives, maybe maybe even before we go.
With a lack of international unity on climate change, the future ain't looking pretty for humans.

Pessimism, or just being realistic?

Many countries still believe that 21st century warfare is still about the numbers of foot soldiers, armoured vehicles +aircraft carriers.
But this war points a lot more to those "traditions" being relatively easily knocked out by smart modern machines, like drones
The West needs to learn from this

Begs the question...
If Russia already controls Kyiv, why do any of Russia's peace proposals indicate a goal of removing Zelenskyy and installing a puppet government?

2/2 wants to appease his rich corporate donors by exiting the ECHR
