Also holding out hope that someone good at piloting it can bring a good Birthing Ritual list to the event, but I still think that deck needs a bit more time in the over and a field that won't as readily be playing a lot of Wrath of the Skies

Tron variants galore. Esper and BW blink are super strong right now so I may miss the mark and that's the go-to deck of the weekend, but that's reminiscent of grindier past metas that rewarded intimate knowledge of the meta. I'm excited to see some nutcase run Samewise Combo to the top 8.

I would've put up Dookie if you didn't lead with Green Day. But instead I'll offer an album so good it set the vibe for a movie genre 20 years later

This is the same energy as when I bought multiple copies of every Fallen Empires Thallid from the same seller for my fungus collection, and I'm here for it.

Breakfast is through to the semis and pairs with RUG Scapeshift or UW control. UW has an insane matchup vs Breakfast, but misplays a Mana Leak into open mana early, then flashes back that same Leak to resolve Vendillion Clique BUT DOESN'T RESOLVE THE ETB to take Scapeshift. High stakes nerves.

Really cool data! Any chance you could do a filter for only the sets that had a max at any given date, just to declutter the graph and compare it to only other standout sets?

I love that this tracker exists, that someone built this purely to find all the golden chocobos and see where they ended up

I was too quick to rant and didn't realize Bats were in that list. I take it all back, Magic design team fully understand what an animal is and didn't miss anything like Insects, Dinosaurs, Snakes, Elephants, Rhinos, Horses, Fox, Fish, Crabs, Apes, Crocodiles, Elk, Ox, Leeches, Jellyfish, ...

... that excludes HUGE types like Insects, Dinosaurs, and Snakes. I got nerd sniped hard over this one.

... where you have animals like Bats and Cows that were (part of) the entire premise of gimmick sets. This ability could have been so simple as "non-humans get +1/+1" with a statline weaker than a Grizzly Bear, but instead it had to cherry pick a random collection of animal words ...

P1P1 Taro milk tea is my ride or die. Slammed that pick earlier today and I'll do it again in a second

I can totally see Aurelia's Fury being a hype bait. Especially in a standard with Entreat the Angels, I would've fallen for some kinda jeskai-ish control deck where I'm using Fury to tap down attackers and stall until my big entreats
