I thought I was unscammable, invincible in my cleverness but no - pictoart.net got £50 that I authorised £0.10 for and paypal upholds the scammers. They took the £0.10 and then the next day took £49.90, it does say that's what they can do if you look at the blurb. 1 (failed) photo unblur =£50.

I tried to set up the app for Barclays Amazon card on my new phone it wouldn't, I rang them. After the call I got a dialogue box "was that a business" FUCK OFF GOOGLE. Calmed down I turned off call screening. Then the Barclays app I was logged in on my old phone went "deleting app on all devices".

Anyway on general principles I thought I'd just open and close it just when I use use it. That's a big fat no, it will not close, it will not respond to a force stop and it will be there when you reboot. Last option uninstall.

The bluesky app kept trying to scrape my location and other fairly harmless stuff, I didn't mind too much because I've got security blocks to prevent it.

Why did nobody tell me that a mysql innodb export will not import into a mysql mariadb database because they don't have a matching name for their character sets. It took hours before I found a search and replace that actually worked.

I've waited a while before mentioning it but I was pleased by the Melvin Odoom declaration for Carol Vorderman. I am attracted to intelligent women so I understand (I thought she was good before the "beautification" but the face doesn't change the mind).

I'm smug about the robustness of Linux but I've seen 3 PCs bricked and about to get a reinstall. I found 2 were not finding another drive and one was a mistake in fstab. I think a "not found" message while booting would be better than "critical dependency not met" and total boot failure.

I struggled with Schroedinger's cat I couldn't see where energy would come from to create a new universe or a "wavefront of probability" could collapse, eventually I realised other universes are already there. Looking at the cat doesn't change you or the cat it just shows what universe you're in.

Wordpress have screwed me over, a domain transfer that was going ahead nicely was suddenly stopped by a 60 day transfer lock. Coincidentally a bit longer than the remaining registration, pay another year or lose the domain.

I thought it odd that logging into gmail to do a round of scam reporting, a load more appear. I've come to the conclusion that it's when I report phishing, I think what's happening is that google AI is scanning the report and opening the tracking links which prompts the scambot to send more.

First post so I thought i'd start with a juicy one. Neutrinos exhibit periodicity because most of their substance is in a dimension that is rotating relative to ours. They look as if they're different but that's just due to which way round they are when detected.
