Probably the number 1 skill to learn as an individual contributor. As someone interviewing for positions, it can be frustrating to not get that space to work a problem. Wish there was a better way to evaluate skills.
That’s such a hard struggle because sometimes you just want it to be done but the more you stare the more it doesn’t get done. Take a break you deserve it ❤️
I really don’t want to admit to myself that my current code struggles are directly tied to not walking away from the screen for days. I KNOW better and yet

Patterns in infrastructure evolved from a problem where trade-offs were measured. It's perfectly okay to have simpler infrastructure and not jump to those patterns because it's the "right way". Let yourself run into those problems and change the system based on real issues.
