Coding Django one project at a time while keeping two fur bandits entertained.
If #TV has taught me anything, when someone is abducted and they get free... one punch, one hit then running away fails everytime. Finish the job the first time

Never have I experienced the fresh hell that is upgrading a #nodejs project. I have no idea on earth why anyone would ever bother using it.

Why does almost every #TV show I invest time do everything to end it in a way that just pisses off the viewer

Hey AI researchers, quit hugging our websites to death by crawling them as fast as you possibly can from hundreds of different IPs. You're grabbing the whole internet, put in the occasional sleep or logic to not overload a single domain. kthxbye.

I have to use a PC for a very specific task, it is the first time I've dealt with Microsoft in a long time. Thus far it has been pure hell, it treats the user like a complete moron.

For all my #Django peers, why does every article or blog on deployment using #Nginx use the sites-available sites-enabled vice nginx.conf. According to Nginx sites-available sites-enabled is depreciated.

There is nothing quite as soul crushing as a bad interview, well... having an interview in the middle of a friend in crisis. I explained the situation, and I soldiered on. I was off my game, cleaning up until 2am. Maybe I should take it as a good thing, who wants to work for a 0 empathy company.

2/2 - asdf. Is there another alternative to asdf, and please don't say pyenv?

1/2 - asdf. A while ago I switched to asdf to manage installs of #Python on my Mac, it went extremely well for a long time but I hit the end of the road with an error that seems to be not so new but there is no solution just bs workarounds. And the error msg solution never works...

To the asshat(s) at #HerseyCanada who decided to stop making the cherry blossom #candybar, hit yourself in the head with a blunt instrument 5 to 10 times.

Hey @carltongibson.bsky.social I recently watched your #DjangoCon 2022 talk on async, it was truly excellent. If the code still exists can you please post it to GitHub or similar?

Want to test your patience, try buying a brand new #Canon printer and then use it wirelessly. Who would have thought that in 2024 #printers would still be full of hate and defiance....

I’ve been searching for a while, I am looking for a small-medium #Python/Django shop to join. I work on my own these days but I prefer to #code in a team.
