I think the way to reclaim the English Flag is by using it as a symbol of unity and peace. Imagine adding a 🏴 to every anti racism post. Adding a 🏴 every time we use a 🏳️🌈. Adding a 🏴 every time we use a 🏳️⚧️ .

It's difficult but not impossible I think. If people started using the English flag as a symbol of unity instead of bigotry it could happen. Imagine if every time a post criticising racism and bigotry we added 🏴 every time we use a 🏳️🌈 we use a 🏴 every time we use a 🏳️⚧️ we use a 🏴

Playing the devils advocate here but by making this comparison you are giving an act that could be seen as a patriotic a totally different meaning. I know that those putting the flags up are probably doing so because of their right wing nationalist beliefs but we can reclaim the flag

2/2 It is okay to moarn a person and their legacy without feeling guilty just because they did bad things. I don't believe in the hypocrisy of praising a person in death when you disliked in life.

Both are terrorists!! To break into an RAF base and damage planes is terrorism regardless if the cause is just. What if those planes had been needed to protect UK airspace and they could not take off or even worse we able to take off and then crashed. Would the death of the pilot be justified.

I will always remember all the kids laughing as I was on way to school in late 70's as a police car had stopped the traffic to allow a hedgehod to safely cross the road.
