Look at the chart below. Anybody in the top half of this pie chart can legitimately disrupt Bitcoin. Yet bitcoiners are worried about Ripple and its 0.5% control.

So please tell me how Ripple controls a network where they only own 0.5% of all the validators and 2.8% of a UNL?

No different than Bitcoin or other altcoins. #BTC wealth is concentrated into even fewer holders. Only bad when altcoins / #XRP do it, but if it’s Bitcoin it’s perfectly acceptable. As usual, BTC maxis love to throw stones while ignoring the fact that they live in a glass house.

Simply, there is no contract between that retail investor and Ripple if they never even purchased anything from Ripple. This is in stark contrast to the hedge funds who, in fact, had executed contracts to purchase directly from Ripple and fulfilled all remaining Howey prongs.

I concur. I do not see it retaking the #1 spot any time soon, but #2 is only about 2x away. That is certainly achievable and, if this bull flag plays out, it is almost certain to happen.
