Reminds me of one my fave comics "big kids" by Michael Deforge!

We're similar in this regard, I also wanna make comics with stories that help people and I also considered art therapy down the line :) I'm mixed race (half my family is christian, the other muslim) and I think maybe my perspective can be helpful to people, like yours can be too. Good luck to you!

Totally fair, and I'm glad you still appreciate the good experiences you made though. Unfortunately diversity is not common within in the field, I'm guessing mainly because it's expensive and risky because not "lawyer, doctor, engineer". Have you maybe thought about becoming a therapist yourself?
