Ready for super-G4s? We have identified clusters of G4s in intergenic regions that act as super-enhancers in ovarian cancer cells, hence the name super-G4! These are de novo super-enhancers that are not underpinned by canonical epigenetic marks, supporting the epigenetic role of G4s rdcu.be/evXtf

Next, we congratulate Ahlem Meziadi for securing a MSCA fellowship. Ahlem is a chemical biologist who will be moving from Canada to join us @imperialcollegeldn.bsky.social to develop aptamers for the detection and disruption of RNA-driven aggregates in the context of neurodegenerative diseases.

First up is Michele Stasi @msta94.bsky.social, a chemist who is already working in our group @imperialcollege.bsky.social. Thanks to the support of a MSCA fellowship, Michele will be investigating the role of Nucleic Acids (especially RNAs) in the formation of biomolecular condensates.

With a bit of a delay but super happy to share that our PhD student @sabrinapianuccio.bsky.social has successfully defended her thesis, becoming officially Dr Nuccio 🎉🥳🍾
