Thank you for being such a fan of my work, and of me personally. In a time of pogroms against trans people by what used to be a legitimate political party, it is heartening to know that decency and kindness still thrive in some hearts.

These callous fascists reveal themselves every day, in brazen demonstration that they really are the worst sort of comic book villains. Except they’re real. And their secret lair is the Oval Office, God help us.

On the contrary, I’ve been blessed to live my life as I saw fit and have been able to fit into this life without drawing much hostility or harm—at least, nowhere as much as many trans people.

I have lived in stealth for many years now. Sometimes I have regretted this. It represents a lack of courage. But in today’s world, it might just save my life.

I don’t know if that idea resonates with readers. Perhaps it resonates with me on some level. I write the stories as they unfold for me.
