Time travel romances are also a niche genre. Usually a woman mysteriously travels to the past & has to cope with being stranded without resources in a very different class/gender/technology system. Wings of the Storm by Susan Sizemore is fun, imo. My mom used to have LOTS of these, back in the 80s.
