ICYMI: AFT sued the Department of Education Wednesday over the removal online of income-driven repayment (IDR) student loan applications. IDR plans are the only way for public service workers to benefit from PSLF—a critical lifeline for public service workers across the country.

In the best of times, I think humans need an occasional nature recharge- at least I do! When the world is falling apart around me, a two mile hike barely scratches the surface, but it’s something! 💜 Mine Falls, NH

Hot pot 2 nights ago, Ethiopian tonight, and recently sushi, jerk pork, stuffed grape leaves, samosas, mushroom ravioli and antipasti with olives… yeah, sometimes they choose chicken nuggets, but in my experience kids are actually great eaters when they’re exposed to lots of things to try!

If you could wave a magic wand, what would you do to stop this madness?

Until I have a clear answer to that question, I’m being circumspect in my social media posting, because this is a complex situation that requires coordinated and goal-oriented actions, let alone advocacy via social media.

Humans are full of contradictions. Like, I’m a skeptic about anyone’s claims of the supernatural. But also I’d never point at someone I love and say “Arvada kedavra” for fear I’m secretly a wizard from a fictional universe.

2025 coming in strong…ly bad. Covid, worst case I’ve had, immediately followed by food poisoning so bad that I needed an iv. Bad news at work. Inauguration Monday of a criminal clown. And it’s still January…

Ben: ok, you both want milk.
Toby: Actually water then, because I don’t want water to be sad.

Me: Well nearly every town has Main Street.
Toby: 🤯
Me: not all the same one.
Toby: Mom, you could have just said it’s not THE Main Street, it’s A Main Street.

I just watched “My Old Ass” on TV with my husband tonight and sobbed for an hour and cried and held my children and then went back in time to tell myself not to watch that movie because I don’t need that negativity in my life, but my younger self of 3 hours ago didn’t listen.
