The language of traditional weddings in English is so horrific if you are a girl. The groom(horse keeper) waits at the altar(offerings/sacrifice). Who is sacrificed? A dad brings bride (haltered horse) to the alter. What is being sacrificed? Her body(if 18 and younger)? Her autonomy?

Just moving about society on my own as a gal while working on my career, guys will try to latch on.

I didn’t even try. Just being in the vicinity of guys is enough. Creepy dudes makes for great storytelling material though… so much to say! 😆

Instead of sending her to school, enter the workforce, and build her own career(professional identity) and be respected as a capable adult outside of a relationship.
De-centering boys and men does ruin old power structures. Can’t be helped. Sorry! 🤷🏻‍♀️😆

It’s acceptable in a lot of societies(and therefore parents) to have older guys marry their younger daughters if the guy has a secure job because it’s his job to take her from her home and finish raising her.

I have looked 10 years younger than my age(Asian genes 🧬 ) and got carded all the time. A bouncer didn’t believe I was over 18 or 21 when he saw my license at 30 and turned me away from a club!!!! 😆

It gets creepy gross as the age gaps widen. I have to wonder “Are you a pedophile?” w guys. 🤣

17-18 gal with 21-22 guy is less taboo so happens. It’s wild when I had college graduate co-workers tell me they are taking their high school girlfriends to prom. 🤷🏻‍♀️

An age gap of 1-2+ years is normal between hetero couples.

As kids, no biggie. It’s cute. As teens 16 year old girl with 18 year old boy is socially acceptable. It’s in American country western songs.

We’re the wild emotional irrational creatures… but what are they?

Girls tend to be attracted to older guys because they are mentally more mature, smarter, & more capable than boys their own age.

Teenage boys, young men, & older men use that to groom us into predatory relationships.

A lot of guys think that is what they are supposed to do with us girls & young women… to take possession of us and turn us into something useful for them. We’re supposed to lose our sense of self, our freedom to wander, for stable(horse stalls) life when we settle for a guy.

The English language about girls & women around weddings has had me questioning the western concept of marriage since I was a kid who loved horses.

The gal is the bride(bridle, the thing we use to claim & control horses), the guy is the groom(the horse’s human caretaker).

Guys control & tame us?

It’s a full time job setting up healthcare… “please hold for the next available person…” elevator music plays for like 20minutes just to get to a real human after typing in numbers. Patience… lots and lots of patience. Some would rather give up and just die.

You do need Internet access just to look up everything.

Not knowing what to do means not getting any medical care access.

Navigating the US healthcare system requires a bachelors degree with how complicated everything is from paperwork, phone calls, comparing doctors, medical services, and which networks and insurance types they take and finding the correct code for everything… so bad.
