Saturday a day of building connections & friendship locally & internationally. I attended the raising of the Polish Flag, above the Guildhall, along with many people connected to the Polish 307 Squadron, who defended Exeter during the Blitz. Many local people visited the exhibition.

🦠 impressed by the microbe cleaning gadget. The microbes eat oil and dirt, better than all the oil down the drain. When the microbes are done they turn into sludge and an can be disposed of safely. Clever 🦠🦠

It’s a very special place, fantastic heritage, an amazing refuge for nature, and the trees are looking glorious.

🎾Big shout out to Exeter University Tennis Team who spent an afternoon litter picking & gardening in Rougemont Gardens! The gardens have wonderful trees, roses, ginger, anemones. Antisocial behaviour, and the fear of ASB, deters people, but the more we visit the more ASB is deterred!🫶 #loveExeter

🤸 Ever walked, slogged, up North Street! A bit run down, overshadowed by Guildhall, but a major route... City Centre
/St David's Hill.

Positive, well attended
workshop run by Exeter Civic Society. Cllr James Banyard & I heard great ideas from residents & local biz... worth exploring further!

Here's a short update about the disabled toilet at the Exeter bus station... I know the women's toilets also need work to repair them after they have been vandalised, again :(

Before Council met, Tess Read & I chatted with the Save Northbrook Pool Campaigners.

They presented petitions of > 2000 names to Council & asked questions about the importance & viability of the pool and shared personal stories.

Today was much sunnier at #ExeterRespect festival!

Lots of really interesting conversations at the @exetergreens.bsky.social stall.

People took time to complete our broken housing market survey and tell us what they'd like Green Council to be doing!

Heritage Harbour Festival today at #Exeter Quay.

Deck chairs should be a regular weekly feature! Fab fifties harmonies :)

Good to talk to Civic Society... They're looking for suggestions for women to celebrate on a Blue plaque

Love the weaving machine & one for my Dad who loved steam engines!

Cake ahoy! Turned out to be Peurto Lounge staff bake sale for Britannia Sailing Trust. Then Vicky one of the co-founders turned up telling me about Britannia's restoration & vision for working with young people & protecting the environment!

See Britannia at #Exeter Quay & lots more this weekend!

On Saturday Katie spoke to me about why she joined the #Exeter protest against the #disability benefits cuts. Supporting people into work is needed but these cuts are causing anxiety & will cause harm. We don't need continued austerity.
