those are "valid" in the sense that they're syntactically valid, correctly signed & match the plc data model
however you're right that they're some sort of spam/abuse. i'd need to look closer to determine what they're actually doing
we need to separately address some abuse prevention stuff

works very well for one-offs, but I was considering moving the whole dev blog over to it and thought i might avoid a bunch of copy-paste jobs 👀
