seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

While I am shattered by the loss of 2/3 of my deluxe enchilada and beans, never fear, I have 2/3 of a leftover chili relleno burrito. Not what I wanted but it will do.
I forgot my dinner leftovers at my friend's place so now instead of a late night snack, all I have is my tears.

Written by Mary Shelley when she was 20 years old, in 1818 when it was thought impossible that a woman could write such a masterpiece, which is arguably one of the first true science fiction novels and undoubtedly one of the most influential stories ever penned.
Where do I even begin? Guillermo del Toro @realgdt.bsky.social has created an absolute masterpiece. I only wish I’d had the chance to experience it on the big screen. The story of Frankenstein has been told countless times, but never like this.

In 1996 the TV show Unsolved Mysteries profiled Joe Shepard, who murdered Roxanne Woods in 1976 when he was 24 and she was 16. In the show the DA states Roxanne became "upset" at Joe's "persistent attempts to seduce her" and ran from his car, into the woods. And some men wonder why the bear wins.
