This Army birthday I’m thinking of Medal of Honor recipient Pvt Henry Johnson of the 369th NY National Guard (known as the Harlem Hellfighters). The 369th served more days in the WWI trenches than an other US unit, took more casualties also. DOD just stripped Johnson’s name off Ft. Polk.

This medal was struck to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King George V & Queen Mary in May 1935. George V died less than a year later and Mary lived into the second year of the reign of Elizabeth II. Mary knew every British monarch from Queen Victoria to Charles III.

Last night, Russia unleashed ballistic missiles and hundreds of drones on a European capital. Today? The world barely blinks. Western media push it off the headlines, treating it as distant. But silence isn’t neutral — it enables aggression. Indifference has a price, and Ukraine pays it.
