Even biotech companies or any life sciences company for that matter. News alert: if academic labs fold, no one's buying your products, so you might fold too!

Ha same (Dharap lab), and I also dgaf what anyone calls their lab. A dumb thing indeed to debate.

Wow! Such a great thread. Truly enjoyed reading it and following your journey in science.

Yeah. The other top journal in our field has a very good turnaround time that is respectful of the authors, so we just submit there now.

I once got a desk reject after 3 weeks from a major journal in my field. I decided not to submit there again. We just submitted a manuscript that would be a good fit there and is actually quite exciting, but we actively avoided that journal.

I tried reading it but it's behind a pay wall 🫤. Funny thing though, when I read the headline I was pretty sure it was going to be you, and when I clicked on it it was indeed you! 😄

And really good ones too!

Yeah.. Our news came the day before the section was to be held 🤦🏻

For my section, I knew it would get canceled despite the SRO being optimistic, but also knew that I had to turn in the reviews on time anyway and scrambled similarly. It's unfortunate but tis what tis I suppose...

I recently heard on @marketplace.org that there's an egg farm in the US that is 70X the size of what is considered a large egg farm. Sounds like they have a lot of hens. Perhaps @kairyssdal.bsky.social can help.

Huh interesting. I've flown from many airports big and small and the regular line almost never moves faster than the TSA Pre line. Vegas might have been an exception once...
March 11, 2025 at 4:39 AM
What airport is this where the regular line is faster than pre-check?!

Lol seems to be a common theme among the Ring community.

Happy birthday! 🎉 Sorry about the study section. We are in the same boat unfortunately. The section at which my R01 was to be discussed was canceled a few days ago and I'm serving on one in a week that I fully expect to be canceled as well since it's not on the Fed Register.
