In the 70s I was at Manchester University studying Physics. I didn't see the Sex Pistols at the Lesser Free Trade Hall but I did write a Fortran program to simulate the flow of neutrons in a nuclear reactor. The rest is history.
At the Engine Rooms? Me too, it was pretty awesome wasn't it. My son asked me what type of music it was and I can't really describe it! Don't think the records do justice to the live experience.

I hope he manages to buy it and does eventually recover his bitcoin because it will make such a great Netflix movie in 10 years time.

What’s also cool about this is that the recording process barely slowed it down and the resulting event log was small because it’s deterministic and cpu bound. So potentially lots of scope for analysing exactly what it’s doing.

I would imagine that the number of people who don’t have smartphones but keep that to themselves is vanishingly small!

Nice. Have you got a similar one for Bognor?

I must have read about it in NME cos I remember going to a record shop in Chelmsford every Saturday that summer and asking if they’d got it in yet.

Had a very animated discussion with my partner when I said just assign them labels 1, 2, 3, 4 and … I still don’t understand her counter argument, something about making it too easy - think she thought I meant the set designers labelling them. So you end up with a sequence, e.g. 3.1.2.4 etc

Well that’s just giving up. I got half way through Ulysses 30 years ago and fully intend to get back to it because it’s still there, like Everest. Of course I’ll have to start again because I can’t remember what happened…
