highly unlikely they can revoke existing passports under existing SCOTUS precedent (9-0, Scalia concurrence with the majority holding that admin agency rules cannot have retroactive effect)

i’ve been neurotic and doing research on this and I think trans people have a very strong legal argument against attempts to seize documents under this SCOTUS case that was 9-0 holding that rules (ie the new Trump rules) can’t have retroactive effect, only future effect, unless congress passes a law
