Trump is a symptom of what happens when vast wealth is the only onjective. He isn't a populist. He is just a very good con man, but then so is Elmo.

LOL ... that would be self defeating for the DNC. Let's have lively policy debates out in the open. Average Americans are going to be faced with economic upheaval real soon. Let's have some simple to explain, winning, Populist messages.

I stopped using an idealist's litmus test 53 years ago when I voted for George McGovern.

Regardless, if you think you can do a better job, run for something and vote in the primary. Win or lose, at least you'll make the debate interesting and relevant.

Simone Saunders, Michael Steele and Alicia Menendez interviewed David Hogg on MSNBC this afternoon. I missed the debate between Saunders and Steele after Hogg departed.

I find Hoggs points to be valid. Nobody is running for election this year. Let's have a lively debate out in the open.

I was "No Party Preference" for a very long time. I changed my affiliation to "Democratic Party" in December because, frankly, it is the only US political party with a chance to actually make a difference. It may be easier to drop out than to scream truth to power. We do that at our own peril.

I have done that in an email to my, voting DNC members. I encourage you and others to identify your representatives to the DNC and speak up. We cannot be complacent/apathetic while expecting others to, as John F. Kennedy said, do things "not because they're easy, but because they're hard".
