I haven’t read English, but comparing how a journalist talks about us v them, is that not legitimising our biggest issue? Rangers are not the benchmark. Unless & until we stop bracketing ourselves and set decent comparators, we will never progress. It’s up to us to make these comparisons irrelevant.

The book was brutal.

“So Benji they tell me you’re a footballer. I am fascinated by criminology. If I hadn’t been a football I would have been a criminal lawyer. I’m all about evidence and from what I see you can’t run, you can’t shoot and you can’t tackle, so i find no proof. Now get out there and prove me wrong!”

We had pace, power, and physique. We were deadly in front of goal and had the craft of Lubo. None of which he has access to now. It will be a tough shift for him to make much with what he has.

I love Martin, but he is now a phone box in an era of smartphones.

Nygren is a man down before we start. I just don’t see it.

The day that gave rise to “Seven past Niven”!

Of course they do, but managers will have a say in a situation like that.

My thoughts too, but someone on the way out said they saw Rodgers and Valakari having a wee chat just before the whistle blew and they must have agreed it.

We are going through Vera as well. Northumberland is just about outperforming Brenda Blethyn, and that takes some doing.

No pressure then! I hope you enjoy it as much as I am.
Have you watched Astrid: Murder in Paris (on Walter Presents - More 4)? My favourite thing on TV just now.

I have come late to @jonathancoe.bsky.social
I read Bournville last month and now on The Rotters Club. Very enjoyable and some great social observation / commentary.

Haven’t read MMC, but I genuinely thought Richard Osman (who I have a high regard for), had a bet with his mate and said the could write a book and get a cliché onto every page.

I came to the Satsuma Complex with a sense of foreboding. So many books written by comedians and celebrities are a major let down - Thursday Murder Club an example. But I really enjoyed it.

I’m sitting here thinking Charlie Nic could still do a job!

So much more likeable without Neymar etc. Honest, strong and some game changing talent.

Just wish the Bhoys would introduce a horn section and ease back on the drum.

I didn’t think he was at or near his best today.

I didn’t think we played very well today, but getting nil flattered Hibs. They brought little to the game other than to stay in the match as long as possible. They were much more impressive when we beat them 3 0 back in the Autumn. Their set pieces and passes into the final third today were dire.

I saw a woman with an amazing bee hive walking down the other side of the street last week. When she got closer I realised he was carrying a guitar in a black case on his shoulders, with the neck rising above his head. 🤦‍♂️

Tavernier moves to centre half. Who is going to tell him that we are playing Maeda through the middle! 😱
