I did pretty much everything I could on the games. Low-level runs, 4 White Mages (it'll never work), and such on FF1. Punched my teammates stupid in FF2 and abused the minigame. Caught 'em All in Pokémon. Savescummed my way to high stats in DBZ. Beat SMW in 12 minutes for a fun speedrun. Good times.

None of it I'll really miss; it was all collecting dust, honestly.

Magazines weren't being read, so now they get to be read by the dad, instead of staring at his phone.

The games were FF I&II Dawn of Souls, FFTA, Pokémon Sapphire, Legacy of Goku II, and Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World.

Probably gonna pass on it. Half the fun here is meeting new people.

Still, it's not bad. Maybe not as solid as it could be (crafting progress feels dreadfully slow) and the asking price for the game is steep considering how long it's been in development, but it scratches a certain itch at times.

exist. Some leap, some spit toxic goop at you, etc. and occasionally a handful will fall through the ceiling or break through a fragile wall, but you learn where to expect them. You never get a crowd coming in off the street to hunt you in a gas station. Out of sight, out of mind, and such.

I do wish there were a larger "roaming undead" threat, though. Most buildings/locations have a few set spawn points, but the open world is largely empty.

Buildings are, for the most part, predictable. You progress slowly, listen for sounds, then bash a skull or two. Thankfully, zombie variants

I most certainly need a new ranged weapon, though. Between the scopes and mods I've found, I'll have some good bonuses once I move up from my starter bow (which still takes enemies down fairly well). The delay between arrows keeps me from running through ammo, which I worry about with making a gun.

It feels good when it connects. Zombies drop pretty quickly and I get a full stamina refill if I take one out with a power attack, which will be fantastic in the next horde night.

I still need to boost my defenses and maybe consider heavier armor, but I'm enjoying some of the light armor's effects.

some dedicated melee players, ranged attackers, a cook, medic, etc.

I only recently hit the 2nd biome -- and I could keep going in the grassland, but I decided to branch out -- and I've got a rank 6 steel sledge that's probably going to stay in my inventory for the rest of the game now.

I don't know if future generations will get something like that, and it's a little sad. Movies and animation have made that journey, games as well....

Unless media starts getting beamed directly into our skulls, I think that's kinda it, right?

I'm at work, but I'll do my best to pop in for a bit!

I'll probably take a similar approach on day 14, but I'd imagine I'm going to need some solid firepower by 21, possibly a dedicated "horde base," even if it's just 2 or 3 towers with ladders and ramps to slow them down. Melee and mazing is only going to get me so far, I fear.

I took out the bottom segment of the wooden ramp, technically disconnecting one path from the other, and used it when I got in trouble. Zombies would get confused by my location and leap off the roof in order to head up the other side, rather than hop up the 1-block gap. It was a long night.
