If you try to beat conservatives only by debating them on policy, it frames the nature of the fight as a policy disagreement, hiding the real problem, which is that—behind the endless parade of bullshit they use to obscure this fact—they are cruel bullies w/strange hang-ups and violent intentions.

Increasingly, normal people celebrate diversity and uniqueness. Being called "weird" doesn't bother normal people, because their worldviews are big enough to handle weirdness.
But "weird" is a massive problem for The Normal Ones. They can't be "weird" because to them "weird" deserves punishment.

Conservatives believe that weird is everyone but them, and to prove this, they issue sneering statements about the existence of everyone but them, which seem predicated on the idea "hey look at this fucking weird person who shouldn't exist but does," which is a gross weird thing to think.
