Living at the intersection of community reinvestment and health inequity.
All opinions are my own. Don't blame NCRC.
Just want to flag that this is showing all exposures of both H5 and H5N1 going back to 2022, which was a much more concerning year on the wild bird front than this year (where we should be most concerned about the transition to cattle and poultry stock). 2022 avian map for comparison.

The savings can be transitioned into municipal or social impact bonds, including the savings to Medicaid. Not saying it's simple, because the savings are spread between three different levels of government, but we need to be able to prove the case at a larger scale and more thoroughly to implement.

I suppose I should ask, even though my imposter syndrome is real: I am Director of Health Equity & Impact at NCRC, with a focus on the intersection of comprehensive community development and SDoH. Do I belong here?

I 'blame' @julierovner.bsky.social adding that she's on BSky to the outroll for What the Health. Got me to log back in and recheck the ecosystem for the first time in 2 months.

Yet it still sounds better than 'sounds acceptable.'

Ouch. Health equity isn't woke. There's a real societal cost to it, $100s of billions a year in lost economic growth in the US alone. We can frame this as an issue all sides can get.

Glad to see another health equity wonk on here! That definition feels closer to health equality to me: balancing resources. I've put that Health Equity is a future where we cease having different outcomes between groups of people that are avoidable and unjust. Let's get more than only opportunity!

Glad to have more community health wonks joining the app. NCRC's director of health equity and impact, so just down the road from you in DC.
