Last night's game was awesome and I help it grows the game. The best moment, IMO, were the fans chanting "Johnny Hockey!" .. had chills watching it.

Luke Hughes is playing Norris-level 5v5 hockey this season for the #NJDevils on both ends of the ice, and it's about time he got some recognition for it.

I didn't have high hopes for 4 Nations -- if you asked me a couple months ago, I frankly didn't care about it -- but damn was I wrong, that was tremendous fun. Congrats to Canada.

Easily Yegorov's worst start on Fri night allowing some weak GA and was pulled about halfway thru the game... but he responded with a 30 SV shutout the following night. He's up to a .944 SV%, including .906 on high-danger shots, thru 7 games. #njdevils

I'm surprised Finland "gave up" on Saros so fast. He gave up 6 goals on Thurs but USA generated roughly 5 expected goals. Lankinen has been better this season, fair, but look at the last four seasons in aggregate and it's frankly not close.

Tkachuks stole the show last night but Zach Werenski quietly had 3 assists. He’s 2nd among defenseman in total points and 1st by 5v5 points. CBJ are up +15 in goals with him on-ice at 5v5, -11 with him off. Quinn and Makar get a lot of Norris love but IMO Werenski is right there with them.

One way to assess how special Matt & Brady Tkachuk are is that 20 different teams go, "we need a guy exactly like that," and then the closest thing they can come up with is some 3rd liner.
