disagreements within CARICOM should have been resolved privately to get to common understanding of all perspectives regarding “zone of peace” means (because there seems to be a wide difference of interpretation in how those words are used) & try to come to mutual consensus statement. /end

it was well known that the current TT PM is a supporter of the current US admin before April TT election which she won convincingly. Her style seems to mimic the US admin in “say it as it is” and “TT first” 2/

This was happening with other Caribbean territories aligning with Venezuela & there wasn’t the brouhaha that’s happening with TT not supporting the Caricom “zone of peace” statement 1/

This alone isn’t a binary yes/no against Caricom ; just as Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Kitts and Nevis, Grenada and St. Lucia are part of ALBA-TCP peoplesdispatch.org/2024/12/16/2...
