besides being a net loss for culture and the media, the complete retreat from arts criticism is an act of cowardice. It’s acquiescence to power, a signal that if there will be any problems it won’t be due to someone forming an opinion about what the powerful are putting out into the world

2,000 National Guard troops helping to rebuild in St. Louis would be a godsend.

2,000 armed National Guard troops protecting ICE agents in Los Angeles is a gestapo.

I can't stop thinking about that incredible Fisk/Matt diner scene in the DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN premiere, so I talked to the cast and filmmakers about how it came together: www.marvel.com/articles/tv-...

I donated to Pasadena Humane because they’re doing incredible work for evacuees and animals affected by the fires.

I adopted my cat there years ago, and they’re a great organization.
SoCal friends:

Many animal shelters are overwhelmed from people dropping off beloved pets they can't take with them as they flee. Please consider donating and fostering. Pasadena Humane is one such org. Contact your local animal orgs to see if they need help.

My dad adopted the most chaotic kitten. Since I’ve been home, he’s…

1. Bit holes in packages.
2. Stolen ornaments and used his teeth to rip Christmas lights out of sockets.
3. Attempted to steal a loaf of bread.
4. Somehow turned on the paper shredder while he was home alone???

If any of my journalist friends are doing WICKED interviews, I'd be curious to know why they cut the green glasses! To me, it's key foreshadowing that the Wizard is a fraud, just making the whole city *seem* green.

Maybe they just didn't want to hide [SPOILER]'s faces??

I could actually feel my middle-school self clawing her way out of my chest as I was watching WICKED.

Sorry to all my neighbors who have to listen to me belt “The Wizard and I” in the shower for the next six weeks.

I recently learned that I am quoted on the Wikipedia pages for both Winnie-the-Pooh and Paddington Bear, which is one of the most important things that has ever happened to me.

Spoke to the brilliant Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez about crafting The Ballad of the Witches' Road for Agatha All Along.

I love that Jac Schaeffer specifically gave them Stevie Nicks' 1997 performance of Silver Springs as a reference point. www.marvel.com/articles/tv-...
