State of Transit 2026. 27 January 2025, at the Marygrove Conservancy (8425 W McNichols Rd, Detroit 48221). Marygrove is easily accessible by DDOT routes 32 (McNichols) and 54 (Wyoming), and is a 10 minute walk from route 39 (Puritan). Details to come at DetroitTransit.org

Our second report was titled “For Michigan Roads, MDOT Needs to ‘Fix it First.’” It discuses how MDOT needs to stop spending billions on highway expansion projects and focus on maintaining existing infrastructure, as well as investing in other transportation options

This month, @rideDDOT will be holding community input meetings on proposed service reductions.

These are minor reductions during midday to provide better afternoon peak service.

Potential January DDOT Service Changes, for midday frequency reductions. These are: 1 Vernor (30 min to 45 min) 3 Grand River (10 min to 12 min) 6 Gratiot (15 min to 20 min) 7 Seven Mile (15 min to 20 min) 9 Jefferson (10 min to 12 min) 10 Greenfield (15 min to 20 min) 16 Dexter (15 min to 20 min) 17 Eight Mile (20 min to 25 min) 32 McNichols (30 min to 35 min) The proposed midday frequency reductions are intended to provide for a better transition to afternoon peak service when no spare buses. Upcoming Meetings: Virtual Local Advisory Council Meeting: Tuesday, November 18th at 10am. We had a great rally this morning with our friends at Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 26.

Call Mayor Duggan today at (313) 224-3400 and urge him to raise wages for DDOT workers so we can #DoubleDDOT!
TRU and ATU Local 26 members rallying to demand doubling DDOT in size, service, and frequency, paying bus drivers living wages, and making sure bus riders and drivers are respected.
