This is demonstrably false.
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

Kind of incredible how much Trumpism really is just a dumber version of Pat Buchanan’s shtick.

It is absolutely psychotic that the president has the power to institute an enormous tax hike like this—because that’s what this is—without congressional approval. The executive branch is out of control.

No, the meeting did not go badly for Ukraine. It exposed in the most undeniable, unequivocal way possible the pro-Putin commitments of the president and vice president. That was information Americans and allies needed to have clear before them.

As a South African, I’ve seen my fair share of hardcore, blatant corruption in politics over the years.

But Trump is making our officials look a looks like amateurs.

His supporters won't call it a climb down. They'll call it a brilliant negotiation strategy. Regardless, it's good news. A full North American trade war would have been stupid and destructive.
Ooof! Mexico, Canada and Wall Street call Trump's Tariff bluff. NOW he wants to talk to Canada, delay tariffs on Mexico for a month and Wall Street is telling him real time his tariffs are "dumb". Ahh, the price of eggs, cars, avocados...

An under-discussed possibility in all this is that the UK and France have nuclear umbrellas and might be willing to extend them to Greenland or even Panama.
France has warned Donald Trump against threatening the “sovereign borders” of the European Union after the US president-elect refused to rule out military action to take control of Greenland, an autonomous territory of EU member Denmark

4 years after the Jan 6 attempt to overthrow democracy, 300 Capitol attackers are yet to face trial & the man behind it is about to return as President.

In S. Korea, after 11 days the President was impeached & suspended. Today, 28 days later, a court issued his arrest warrant.

Be like South Korea.

No thoughts on Carter's permanent peace between Egypt, Jordan and Israel?
I might have more to say later, but all the reviews of Carter's presidency emphasize his character, his success in the Mideast, and inflation/gas prices.
But left out of all that: His Cold War policies were abject failures and left America in a precarious situation by 1980. /1

I'd make this an even 15.
Supreme Court 18-year term limit bill should be just the beginning:

— 13 justices
— 7 clerks per justice
— single 18-year term
— binding code of ethics with punishments all the way up to impeachment
— full investigation of corrupt gifts to Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, et al.

It was always the reverse. Syria's survival depended on Iran, not vice versa. However, Iran's ability to project power in the region will be decimated by Assad's fall.
1. As a strong opponent of the Islamic Republic in Iran, I must caution those who see the fall of the Assad regime as a major failure for the Islamic Republic and a precursor to the fall of the regime.

The stability and security of the Islamic Republic do not depend on Syria or Bashar Al-Assad.
