Once chronic pain patients find a dosage that cuts the pain enough for them to be functional, they stabilize and can remain on that dosage for years or decades, barring accidents or additional injuries.

I’m not debating what is being taught. I’m saying: Listen to the lived experiences of severe chronic pain patients.
If ibuprofen only provides adequate relief, great!
There are many, many for whom it doesn’t/won’t & they still need access to stronger meds to allow them to be functional humans.
