The arrest and detention of Mahmoud Khalil—a green card holder whose wife is eight months pregnant—is a blatant assault on the First Amendment and a sign of advancing authoritarianism under Trump. He must be released now.
This extreme escalation is an egregious violation of first amendment rights. Now is the moment to speak out and oppose this as fiercely and loudly as possible.

It was lovely to meet Kai at our Jackson Heights canvass yesterday.
She shared that she hadn’t heard of any of the candidates prior or even know when the next election was. She was excited that we were out here ourselves and loved our platform.
