I hope the joy-cons will be a tad bit more durable.
I dropped a joy-con once and it busted open. I managed to reattach one of the ribbons (thankfully the one that transferred input data) and the only permanent damage was the indicator lights not working because the other ribbon wouldn't go in.

If it requires Easy Anti Cheat, chances are you can't run it without some other stuff

Indeed, proton allows use of that majority of windows/mac only games on steam. The only issues is Easy Anti Cheat not working, so you can't play Overwatch or Rust.
