Just because a brief is bland doesn’t mean the results should be bland too. It’s my job as a designer to create a masterpiece from whatever I’ve been given. That’s a skill set that comes with time.

On a serious note, I wanted to go the complete opposite of what’s usually done as “university” logos, use ribbons, crest etc..I ran wild with my creative juices & loved the results 😍

I left out one important bit & I’m pretty sure someone will raise it, “you threw away all the brand’s legacy, how dare you Dickens?”

I actually didn’t. One quality about a great logo is that it should say LESS. I dumbed this one down to its simplest form. Happy I retuned the book(s). Tada 🤭

& uses cliche elements that make it indifferent.

I knew I had something to work with & didn’t hesitate doing that.

But over the years that has changed. Its current audience are young adults between the ages of 18-25.

I knew I needed to come up with a mark that reflected that shift. But also, the current logo has a few issues like legibility, clutter
