I’ll be honest, some briefs aren’t the best to work with. Some are inspiring, while others are just flat (lacking that oomph). You get nothing more than the classic “I just wanna make money” response when you ask what inspired the genesis of the business.

Consistency in branding means using the same brand elements across all touchpoints. This fosters trust in the minds of your ideal customers.

I vividly remember my early days as a logo designer, struggling with the fear of designing something, only to later find out it already exists.

Now I confidently design logos knowing that they don’t already exist.

My mission when designing a logo is simple:

Make it simple not generic
Make it memorable
Make it unique

This is a logo for one of the biggest/oldest university in my country. Initially its predominant students were mature adults between the ages of 40-60

There’s a certain type of polished YT content that I’m slowly growing tired of because it creates an illusion of a perfect life—which just isn’t realistic.

I find myself gravitating more toward creators who document their real lives in a less polished, more authentic way.

So, SanDisk rebranded. I liked the direction but noticed a few things that were OFF.

A mistake MANY brands make (unknowingly):

Treating the symptoms of your brand & not the actual disease.

A logo won’t fix a bad product

If your service is mid, having a robust brand image won’t fix that.

Branding isn’t a gimmick. But a way to convey true value of your brand.

We live in a digital era where your ideal customer constantly judges your brand based off of how it looks 👀 which informs their decision to either engage your brand or not.

Fortunately, brands that are intentional with the perception they want to create end up winning the game.
