And here’s a general impression of yearly running costs….

Wix — $$
Squarespace — $$$
Figma — $-$$
Webflow — $$$-$$$$
Framer — $$$-$$$$
WordPress — $-$$$

Hope this helps!

➡️ Framer: Great for fast, animated landing pages with a sleek, modern design vibe—no coding needed.

➡️ WordPress: The most flexible and scalable option, ideal for content-heavy sites, blogs, and custom functionality via plugins.

➡️ Figma (new dev features): Now expanding from design to development, great for teams who want to go from collaborative UI design to live sites in one tool.

➡️ Webflow: Good for designers who want visual control with developer-level precision and clean HTML/CSS output.

I know how designers struggle the most with designing for themselves. We know too much. We see too many possibilities. We want to say everything and nothing ever feels quite right.

But I also know: something is better than nothing, and launched is better than perfect.

Adobe Lightroom Mobile is literally ENRAGING to use for the past while / even simplest asks, basic interface stuff, stutters along. It’s literally become a bottleneck in my workflow. I would drop it like a rock if I could.

The lack of polish over the last few years, even before the AI push, has been so disappointing for this long time Apple user / also just annoying on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes the Notes app can’t even keep up with my typing on desktop! 🤦🏻‍♂️

I am not at all guilty of this and do not find it the slightest bit relatable, nope nope

My word, we’re just so done for…

Even when it’s improved with add-ons, it still sucks!

Same. ✊🏻

That makes sense. Thanks for the insight!

Whether they’ve actually built a cutting-edge model at rock-bottom cost or just convinced the world they did, DeepSeek has already won the first round of the perception game.

Would love to hear thoughts—especially from anyone with insight into LLM training costs and infrastructure. 🚀

3) Strategic Misdirection? If the cost claim is misleading, what’s the real strategy? Are they trying to lure Western companies into underestimating them? Are they baiting competitors into a more aggressive race to the bottom? Or just plain marketing and getting us all to download their app?

2) Stock Market Ripples: If U.S. tech giants took this claim at face value, it could be influencing AI stock valuations. Investors might be re-evaluating how much capital is truly needed to stay competitive in the LLM arms race.

1) PR & Perception: Even the possibility that they’ve built a competitive model at a fraction of the cost has forced competitors, investors, and the media to take them seriously.
