Yes - gritting my teeth through imposter syndrome - but not trying to make a living at it, so I guess that means it's not a vocation or defining characteristic.

I was impressed with the specifications --- I think mine was LIDL, same-same.
My only complaint is the probes don't allow you to stick them in a 230V socket... probably a safety feature... but if you're dangling plugs out of sockets just to touch the metal pins it's probably not safer in general.

How close are the IDF to a Tiananmen Square level event where lives are lost and international reputations sundered, all to stop some aid to thwart an extinction plan?

It would be interesting to see how this "£40bn a year" was calculated. What rate is applied to individual tax payers. Surely not a 2% wealth tax on each person.
March 30, 2025 at 8:05 PM
This figure has been increasing over the years.

The stated "3.6%" comes from Wikipedia[2] for the year 2017 - although the wealth tax rate on individuals was perhaps less that currently.

The actual wealth tax rate in Switzerland varies from 0.1% to 1.0% depending on the canton and municipality.

In Switzerland, approximately 5.6 percent of total federal, cantonal, and municipal tax revenue comes from the wealth tax[1].

For the "I am not a lawyer" and "I am not American" people out here that follow you for the lulz, it would be great if you could avoid or explain acronyms whenever possible. I know, it's a lot more work, but it would be appreciated I'm sure.

This type of "better" qualification is quantifiable.
Just compare the number of self-described English speakers that turn on subtitles for each dialect of English.
Anecdotal guess would be Scottish, Australian, and South-US speakers would need subtitles far more than others - e.g. Dutch, Canadian.
