Writer, Atheist, Free Thinker, Humanist, LGBQ+. That about sums it up. My work can be found on Archive of Our Own and Fiction Press.

I create my own memes unless otherwise noted, so please feel free to re-post or use. I expressly forbid AI to use my work.
I honestly think people need to understand the personal history of authors, if available, to more readily connect to their work.

I know people will read into stories what they want, but bearing in mind something about the person who wrote it aids in deciphering the broader meaning.

Vonnegut is one of my favorite authors. He turned the tragedies he experienced into pure gold.

One of the many lessons I learned about writing from Kurt Vonnegut centered on how it makes the writer feel. If the author is not experiencing the emotional tenor of the character or the scene, then neither will the audience. Writer's need to be directly connected to their work, even when it hurts.

I am so disappointed Van Morrison turned into an anti-vaxxer... and this from a man who survived post-war England probably due to the vaccinations he received.

Still, Into the Mystic is an awesome song. I like it better than Gloria.

Silver Linings Playbook. This wretched film would be drastically improved by the addition of Moby Dick.

“There will always be a part of me that is dirty and sloppy, but I like that, just like all the other remaining parts of myself.”
― Captain Ahab, Silver Linings Playbook

It writes itself.

Their complete lack of understanding how the US government actually functions will cause them grind to a halt. Internecine warfare by their members will also limit their ability to govern.

It's going to be a huge shit-show for four years... unless Dems sweep the 2026 elections.

The Bloated Circus Peanut and his coterie of nincompoops do not seem to understand any of this. (5/5)

Ellen Musk and Ramaswampy will need to get Congress to start repealing all those laws before they can actually address government efficiency. That should take them 15 - 20 years. In the meanwhile, as it happens in a piecemeal fashion, government will become less efficient. (4/5)

The proposed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE, pronounced 'doggie') needs to be created by Congress first. It needs a charter spelling out what it plans to achieve. The last time Congress created a new agency, the Department of Homeland Security emerged. Didn't that turn out lovely? (3/4)

We end up with this twisted maze of legislative mandates that takes agencies a some time to learn how to navigate. The process can be frustratingly slow, but it is the system we -- the United States – designed. (2/5)

Simple reminder: Government is not a business. It cannot be run like a business. Waste is built into the system because of the byzantine maze of laws agencies must negotiate. Legislators rarely repeal existing laws to accommodate new law.

The idea we can run government like a business is laughable.

Cybertrucks are such garbage. Look on YouTube for some of the videos where it is tested as if an actual truck. It fails in most categories.

My favorite fact is that if the owner slams the door to hard, the goes out of alignment and the window breaks. HAHAHAHA!

Pure over-priced junk.
