I think the President of the US responding to a question about the murder of a journalist with "A lot of people didn't like that gentleman" is probably pretty bad.

Watched the first part of new Ken Burns documentary about the American Revolution last night.

How timely to refresh one's memory about how incensed the colonists were by military troops being used as a police force, and that rioting was considered to be a moral response to government overreach.

It took a mere 20 hours before I had to block the guy who bought my scooter. He keeps sending me videos like "What lock does this key fit? How about this one? Do I need to carry both fobs to start it?"

The last straw was this morning with "How do I install the app for it?"

We have a strict rule that Em finds weird places to go, I keep track of them on a spreadsheet, and then she looks out for cows and talks for hours

A guy is making a thirteen hour round trip drive tomorrow to buy my scooter.

Should I tell him it's the one that got me temporarily inducted into a lesbian motorcycle club?

I finally found a buyer for my scooter, in CT. He's contacted a shipping broker to have it trucked to his house. I've been added to their conversation thread.

He clearly has no idea how brokers work, as he keeps messaging them every three hours with "DO YOU HAVE A DATE YET?!?!"

Every now and then I have to check out some of the books handled by my company, and then I need to bleach my brain every day for a week

"If your friend leans in and keeps eye contact when talking to you they're definitely hot for you"

Or maybe they're a little hard of hearing and are reading your lips while trying to understand what you're saying?

My company is starting our busy-season IT lockdown tomorrow, and now we'll finally be able to actually get to the secondary software development tasks we've been back-burnering for the past year, as long as they don't touch production.

I work for a printing company. In the early 2010's, there was a brief fad where people were making books out of nothing but their tweets.

We had a lot of cases where someone was ordering 10-20 copies at a time of any given book, implying they were being given away by the author as gifts.

Friend thought I was ghosting her for a week but it turns out none of her texts were actually making it to me.

Now I wonder how many people have accidentally killed friendships because of a technological issue because they just assumed that tech always works so they must be getting ghosted.

TIL that in Germany, you generally only rent a grave plot for 10-30 years, and if the remains have completely decayed by then, the headstone gets returned to the family and the plot gets re-used.
