The service reliability upgrade is already enough of a reason to do it! I have the same thoughts here (NL) about eliminating level crossings. There was a collision last week between a passenger train and a tractor-trailer, result: line shut down for a whole week to restore service.

All across the western world. Canada has them. Netherlands has them. I’m sure many other countries too. They are responsible for a lot of terrible urban planning.

Appreciate the safety details — this machine is operated with two thumb buttons. If you’re pressing the buttons, your hand can’t be under the press.
