I got into Ubiquiti's stuff because of their ridiculously overpowered APs and they only take PoE, and rather than having to hide an injector, I might as well... my flat is also from the 60s, a time when people thought 1-2 power outlets per room would be sufficient.

I am partial to having PoE for the WiFi APs and the bunch of Pis I'm running for various purposes. That locks me onto more expensive the PoE switches. But otherwise... I still have no use case for that bandwidth.

Tech YouTube tell me, i oughtta be running no less than a 10Gig home network. Ubiquiti switch prices say: 1Gig will be enough for me for years.
