Wiki page titled "Ancient Ephrite Empire". It reads: A great empire spanning from the western Sanguine Sea to the eastern Hircene Sea, and even beyond this world. They did many great works, and then fell to themselves, as all empires do. Their wise men discovered the Aether, and ways to control it. They used it to develop Magic. They learned rituals to cross worlds. Their craftsmen created powerful devices. They bent nature to their will. They invented new creatures to serve their needs. They thrived in generations of growth and plenty. They used power to deform themselves beyond recognition. In their ultimate conceit, their wise men sought to make a god. It was a ritual of unimaginable blood and torment. The ritual was only partially successful, and the new god was stillborn. A dead god is unworthy of worship. They should have let it lie forgotten. But the wise men loved and mourned their creation, and in their pride, sought to amend the failed ritual, to grant it full life. So divinely blessed by a dead god, they arranged a sacrifice. None could stop them. They sacrificed all the craftsmen, the mathematicians, the scribes, and the workers of art. And finally, the wise men sacrificed themselves. Its culture, knowledge, craft, and wisdom destroyed, the empire's grand powers fell to a dark age of blood and desperation. The barren remnants of their edifices punctuate the landscape, stripped of relics. Descendants of their creations live among us - the Lizardmen, Sectoids, and Gargs. The stillborn god lingers in the roots of the earth. It calls silently, unthinking, to all who seek power.

screenshot of a reddit thread. It goes like this: Me: I have yet to get any real use out of an LLM for coding. I am better at coding than it is, it's wrong all the time, and it doesn't learn anything from our interactions, so I can't even train it up like I could with a junior eng. The only instance I can think of them being useful for code is once when I had to add a new variable to a massive semi-structured data file, requiring lots of very formulaic edits. Autocomplete was able to save me a lot of time there, since my normal code editing tools aren't robust enough to easily batch those edits. Otherwise I may have written a small script to make the change. Them: You can’t “train it up”. That’s not this works. I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of LLMs. Me: that is exactly what I said though. I’m starting to think LLM coders can’t read. Them: Yet we can use the tool perfectly fine and someone here can’t. 🤷 Me: guess I'm just stupid, it's the only possible conclusion as to why copilot couldn't answer any questions about a codebase.

The official review came in for our jam game, and my god does this feel good. They noticed so many of the little things we put effort into!

Screenshot of a comment on an itch.io page from a game jam judge. The comment text says: The intro was great at explaining the lore of man and elf, and the art style was super unique and cool. I really appreciated the hand-drawn style and would love to see more, for example, the 'panning shot of the badlands.'. Also, as a fellow LOTR enjoyer, I very much liked the references to man flesh being back on the menu! The main menu was very well laid out and easy to use. I liked being able to control the effects and music volumes separately, and also having a level select option gave a lot of replayability options to those who wished to skip to their favourite level. The gameplay was strategic, and it was a nice surprise having the option to upgrade my camp and also buy minions to clear obstacles. This game overall was very well planned and executed as far as timing and the layout of the level. The mobs are all very well placed and constantly have me on the move and thinking about if I should move to dodge or use an asset using some of the cash in the shop. When going back to camp, I felt a sense of relaxation from the constant pace of the main gameplay, which was a nice break. The background music was so soothing! This game was super fun to play. Thank you for your submission!

I was using this open source character controller, but found a bug where it gets trapped in V-shaped terrain. So I dove into the guts of the code and fixed it in a couple hours!

Gonna open a PR later to contribute the fix back. Feels good.
