Until BlueSky gets an algorithm like Twitter’s, it’s not going to overtake it.
“Just follow accounts you like!” That is not the same thing as the endless, mind-numbing scroll of the For You tab. That is the Following tab. I don’t want some random post from 5 minutes ago that means nothing to me.

I’ve noticed that on here I see posts from brand new accounts with 0 likes in my Discover feed, which is very different from the other place. What’s the best way to cultivate a proper algorithm?

I came over here to spread this same message. Check your batteries and find a disposal service! The case on my PSP was already open from the pressure and the battery had popped open too.
So uh holy shit guys - I saw this on Twitter and thought I’d share here - a lot of people in the comments for this post reported their PSP battery had expanded- just checked mine and yep :0 - won’t fit back in - even cracked on one side :s - if yours hasn’t better keep an eye on it! -

I like that my feed feels like everyone’s on the same topic. It’s all art, discussions about art, BlueSky advice, or gushing over how nice it is on BlueSky. It’s like a community conversation!

New users, you have to follow WAY more people here for an active timeline than you did on Twitter.
If this place feels dead, you’re almost certainly not following enough other users.
There’s no centralized algorithm that just puts stuff in front of you - although you can subscribe to feeds.

I’m SO glad I got a BlueSky account because unlike Twitter, this place is bursting at the seams with beautiful artwork that gets pushed to my feed. Every time I log on I find another artist or two to follow 😊
