If your food is starting to run low this week with no #SNAP, and you have leftover meat, you can make a gravy of the chopped meat over bread or toast. Gravies over bread is one of my favorite things.

If all of us who can keep donating a couple cans of beans, a bag of rice, etc, it will help our neighbors who can't buy any or enough food.
And remember it's Thanksgiving in a month. We can donate traditional Thanksgiving supplies as it gets closer.
Things may not get better for a long time.

... has restored the river to its shallow, slow, meandering path, and wildlife has come back! The headlands start here in our Osceola County lakes, run south to Lake Okeechobee, then feed the Everglades. It's a heartening and vital restoration for our wildlife! 💚

When I walked home the hawk was still in her tree, but more awake and preening, getting ready for her day. I liked that she could just be still and quiet without being harassed by mockingbirds like they like to do.

This Snowy Egret and Ibis know each other, and peaceably ate together here. They'd been on the other side of the pond, then the egret flew over in classic heron flying posture 🥰 and gobbled up mud critters, so the Ibis flew over honking to share in breakfast. 🤍🤍
