The great Walt Simonson on the cover art.

According to Walt himself, this was the cover to the very first comic book that he himself wrote. He was pencilling the art for battlestar galactica at the time and was able to slide into the writing angle of the book, this being his first.
Background cover if Battlestar galactica 19 from 1980. Text superimposed, a message from the artist (and writer) if this issue, Walter Simonson. He states that this was the first comic book that he ever wrote, details that he made the jump from penciling the series to writing. He also details criticism that he received over the cover art.
