We were in Esperance WA 1979 when Skylab came to Earth. We were outside waiting and watching out for it; went inside and missed seeing it by a couple of minutes. We heard and felt it though; the sonic booms from the debris were strong enough to shake the house.

Also, I dare say that if any of you venture outside of your borders, you may wish to keep your American identity secret and to yourselves- you may not know this but the rest of the world doesn't like you! hint- the Canadian consulate in your area will give you free Canadian flag pins- wear those!

During the 1974/75 summer holidays, I had a vacation job in the Mount Whaleback iron ore mine at Newman WA. As a part of the Sampling crew we used a fleet of Mini Mokes to collect urgent samples. Zipping around amongst 250 ton Haulpaks is one of the greatest memories of my youth!
