Urine levels of the protein clusterin reflect damaged ‘senescent’ cells in kidney disease, based on new research led by @davidbaird86.bsky.social . This test could help personalise therapy and prevent disease progression.

Pyroptotic cell death results in inflammation. Here the authors find that F-actin-rich structures formed during macrophage pyroptosis persist after cell death to activate dendritic cells.
