“[W]hat we have not been allowed to do?” The committee to which this bill was referred could have held hearings at any time and marked it up, making whatever amendments it wanted. Your own committee chairman was the one who decided not to have hearings and a markup. Don’t blame that on others.

If the compromise requires any change in the House bill they have been working on, won't the House have to come back into session to approve the change? And if it does, won't Speaker Johnson have to swear in the new representative from Arizona as soon as it does?

This is good news, but I don’t think the government has to prove that the prosecution was vindictive. The burden of proof of vindictive prosecution lies with the defendant. Same as in the Comey case.

China doesn’t pay our tariffs. Foreign countries don’t pay our tariffs. Our tariffs are all paid by American consumers and businesses.
