At the time this was one of the first few games I had really played as well. Later I found the tomb raider series and others with female leads, but Evie will always stand out

Evie Frye from Assassins Creed Syndicate. Although Ubisoft did her dirty with the main story plot, she was an icon for me after I played the game shortly after release. It was the first time I played a female MC in video games where she was a star. Strong, determined, and smart

I was curious about this stuff until watching the hbomberguy video on it, which filled me with seething hot rage for Andrew Wakefield and radicalized me against anti-vaxxers.

Had to read this one for AP US History back in high school. One of the few books from high school that still resonates to this day
