This shutdown has been painful for many, especially Virginians.

But this bill fails to address the Republican Health Care Crisis. And it fails to ensure the Trump Administration will spend money as Congress intended.

I voted NO. My full statement: bobbyscott.house.gov/media-center...
Breaking news: The House passed a bill to reopen the federal government, taking the final step in Congress to end the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.

The bill now heads to President Trump, who is expected to sign it into law.

If Republicans allow the Affordable Care Act premium tax credits to expire, nearly all marketplace enrollees will face significantly higher premium costs.

On average, premiums will more than double.

This is a win for students, families, and educators. These grants should never have been canceled in the first place.

Research shows that school mental health services help reduce absenteeism, improve academic performance, and increase engagement in academic activities.

Says the man who spearheaded the most significant cut to SNAP in American history.

The Trump Administration has the resources and authority to continue to fund the SNAP program and is *choosing* to harm Americans by cutting funding.
Mike Johnson on SNAP funding: "I got a summary of the whole legal analysis and it certainly looks legitimate to me. The contingency funds are not legally available to cover the benefits right now."

Lots of talk about the President’s $300 million ballroom and not the 24 million Americans whose health care premiums are able to double.

Sounds on brand.
Leavitt: "At this moment in time, of course, the ballroom is really the president's main priority."

Here's how:
- Developing a cure for pediatric cancer
- Delivering health care to millions of Americans
- Building VA hospitals
- Paying farmers already struggling with Trump's tariffs
